Do you have a deep love for the earth and all its life? If you have read the environmental writings, Laudato Si and Laudate, by Pope Francis, and have pondered the fate of those who inherit what we leave behind, you will be moved to protect our future generations. They deserve to experience the wonders of God's gifts and His creation: clean water, a stable climate, healthy air to breathe, and thriving ecosystems. It is true that it may seem overwhelming, but no one can get it done alone.

Rooted in our Catholic traditions and teachings about caring for the earth, we seek to prayerfully act upon them and offer a faith-filled response to the ecological challenges of our time.  Without delay, let's get to work! If this is something you feel called to do, consider this your invitation to join our parish creation care team. Our inaugural project is the beautiful Rosary Garden created on the footprint of the former Monsignor Stout House on Wicomico Street. It is a pollinator-friendly garden featuring plants that are native to our Eastern Shore area and will continue to be a work in progress.

For inspiration, visit www.interfaithchesapeake.org, the website for Interfaith Partners for the Chesapeake, without whom the garden could not have happened.
