UNIVERSAL PRAYERS
Our weekend prayer intentions

1.  May our hearts leap for joy as we recognize God-with-us in the people and

events of our lives, we pray to the Lord . . .

2. May leaders of all nations faithfully cry out for justice among all people,  we pray to the Lord . . .

3.  May all who were injured or lost homes or businesses in the recent tornadoes be healed, kept safe from further harm, and find the resources that they need to rebuild their lives, we pray to the Lord . . .

4.  May we be grateful for all the gifts and opportunities that God offers us and rejoice in the blessings which come to us each day, we pray to the Lord.

5.  May all who are away from home during the Christmas season, particularly missionaries, aid workers, and members of the military experience Christmas peace and be reunited with loved ones in the New Year, we pray to the Lord.

6.  May refugees who have fled violence or oppression be protected from harm and given strength to face their challenges, and guide them to places of safety, we pray to the Lord . . .

7. May those who hear the Lord’s call to be priests, deacons, or members of the religious pray for guidance and strength to follow their calling, we pray to the Lord . . .

8. May those who have died,  rest in the peace of God’s presence, we pray to the Lord . . .
